Layton Civil Engineering Lab
The University of Utah's Layton building has a wonderful industrial aesthetic: steel columns, deep steel trusses, and concrete floors that reflect the use of the space as a place for experimentation. These new spaces are designed to be highly functional, the intent was to maintain the scientific and industrial look of the building. Simple, clean finishes and exposed structure are the backdrop for experiments conducted by students in their new labs.
