WILLIAMS BUILDING

The Williams Building at the University of Utah’s Research Park is one of Studio LP’s ongoing, multifaceted architectural projects, bringing together a variety of users in a single space as part of a broader revitalization effort.

There are currently three Studio LP projects in different stages of design/completion at the Williams Building: the Utah Games Graduate Studio & Classroom (completed in Fall 2024), the Osher Center for Integrative Health (completion expected in Spring 2025), and the Genetic Sciences Learning Center (set to be completed by Summer 2025), all of which focus on developing the building’s fourth floor.

Each facility presents unique acoustic and design challenges, requiring intricate coordination and a deep understanding of the existing building, structure, and drawings.

Genetic Sciences Learning Center

Inspired by the vibrant and playful nature of the work produced at the GSLC, this design draws from the colors and patterns found in their creative representations of cellular and biological structures.

Osher Center for Integrative Health

This build-out is designed to accommodate a diverse array of services, featuring multi-purpose studios, a medical gym, consult and massage rooms, and office space that prioritizes accessibility and sound isolation.

Utah Games Graduate Studio & Classroom

A fast-tracked project that accommodates this quickly-growing graduate department in a temporary space through cost-effective, yet impactful, architectural intervention.
